Video: Nigerians insult me too much online, it gives me high blood pressure – Tinubu

Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), Bola Tinubu has said he does not read posts on social media because Nigerians constantly abuse him.

He was speaking during a media engagement organised by the ruling party as he noted that it is his children or workers that tell him what is being said about him online.

Tinubu said whenever he reads social media posts filled with insults and abuses targeted at him, it gives him high blood pressure and he gets angry.

According to the former governor Lagos state, he stopped reading anything on social media and he is okay with his family giving him updates of what is being published on the internet.

CorrectNG reported earlier that Tinubu said if he is elected in 2023, he will fight corruption like President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration.

Tinubu made this promise in his campaign policy document unveiled on Friday, adding that he will continue other works of the current aministration.

In the 80-page document tagged “Renewed Hope 2023 – Action Plan for a Better Nigeria,” the former governor of Lagos state, said the people want true and innovative solutions which the APC was founded to address.

The document reads partly; “We will continue the work of the current administration in reforming the civil service to fight corruption, reduce bureaucracy, streamline agencies and decrease inefficiency and waste.”

He added; “Senator Shettima and I have traversed every part of our beloved nation, listening to the concerns of our fellow citizens. Young and old, poor and rich, educated and uneducated, Christian and Muslim; all have expressed their views and concerns. People do not seek superficial answers to hard questions. Nor do they want the broken, unimaginative, failed promises repackaged and fed to them again. They want true and innovative solutions which address the challenging realities of today.

“Our party, the All Progressives Congress, was founded on the premise that the people of our beloved country are entitled to the benefits that only progressive good governance can procure.”
