Your late father predicted that I’ll be president – Atiku tells Emir of Kano

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Presidential candidate and former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has said the Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero’s late father, Alhaji Ado Bayero, had predicted that he (Atiku) would be president of Nigeria someday.

He told the Emir of his father’s prediction which he claimed was given during a visit to the royal palace years ago.

The PDP flagbearer, who spoke during a courtesy call to the Emir of Kano as part of his presidential campaign, said the late Bayero also noted that he would bring greatness to the country.

According to Atiku, he believes he is the person mentioned by the late Emir Ado Bayero which is why it became imperative for the sitting Emir Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero to follow suit and pray for him to achieve the dreams of the late Bayero.

“We were on a courtesy call to the palace sometime while I was the Vice President of Nigeria, then late Emir Ado Bayero said he saw among us somebody who was going to be President and who would bring greatness to Nigeria”, he said.

Meanwhile, he had earlier said that elected, he will ensure Nigeria is restructured within six months.

The former VP made the vow during the PDP presidential diaspora campaign grand finale held in Abuja.

Represented by Deputy Director, Research and Strategy, of the PDP presidential Campaign Council (PCC), Dr Okwesilieze Nwodo, Atiku said that sufficient research work needed to achieve restructuring across the six geo-political zones had been concluded.

He said that Nigeria was a great country which worked better when each region controlled its natural resources.

According to him, the country can work again, and all that is required is good leadership.

Atiku said; “When we are talking about restructuring by Executive Order, in the first six months, this country will not be what you are seeing today.

“This has been worked out and I’m just waiting to be sworn in on May 29 and the plans will be rolled out. We will provide that kind of leadership”.
