My entire life savings was withdrawn from my account – Lady calls out popular bank

A young Nigerian lady raised an alarm on social media after millions of Naira was wiped out from her bank account.

The woman who works in healthcare said N6 million was withdrawn from her Zenith bank account and it was her entire life savings.

Taking to her Twitter account, @Fashionjuel revealed that she woke up on Friday, October 21, 2022, at about 1 am to join a church programme when she discovered that everything she had worked for all her which totalled N6 million had disappeared without a trace in 15 minutes.

She appealed to the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) to prevail on the bank to retrieve her stolen funds.

She blamed the fraudulent transaction on the porosity and negligence of the bank.

The lady explained that how she made efforts to get money returned by visiting the bank early in the morning.

According to her, she reached the bank before 9 am the same day and met a cold and unprofessional official.

She said they passed from one manager to another until she met a lady who kept her waiting for 35 minutes.

“I’m calling on @cenbank @fccpcnigeria to help me investigate a fraudulent transaction in my Zenith account in the early hours of October 21, 2022, thereby withdrawing a total of 6m nairas from my account in the space of about 15 minutes,” she wrote.

She added; ”In the last 24 hours, I have gotten several messages like this and it is just so sad how people labour hard to save in this country only for the bank to steal from them. If you’re still banking with ZenithBank @ZenithBank, you need to think twice!!!”
